Devestating Moon aka Deathstar

I found it in an unoccupied star system. No planet that I could colonize. I started repair it after a while my protecting fleet was up to 30 ships including cruisers and carriers. During this time a neighbor colonized one of the planets in system and started to ask me to leave their!? system. Guess to my suprise what happend when MY deathstar was ready, it got the other nations colors and crew! [:(]
Why is that?

Old bug - been around for ages.

Check this thread. There are many others detailing the problem and various people's postulations on how the ownership system works. To my knowledge, however, there has never been a definitive statement on how it works, nor on whether it's supposed to be working that way.

It should IMHO be the repair nation who get the ship, they made the work right. Hope they fix it. Thanx for the heads up.

Thanks for the report.

This is fixed in the next update so that the repairer always obtains the planet destroyer or other repaired ship (e.g. debris field)
