Doom...
I am shocked by your loss. Just finished the manual and will play tomorrow.

Reading through the AAR (1942 campaign), how come the Germans are attacking simultaneously everywhere on the eastern front during that year? Is supply so abundant that there are no historical constraints?

Many of the German units are operating with lowered effectiveness due to the low supply level.
Also I have made some mistakes at the beginning of the game.
Another aspect is that I've played on the hard level and that the Germans are far more experienced than my recruits.

Still the front-wide assault in 1942 wasn't possible. I strongly recommend The Wages of Destruction: The Making and Breaking of the Nazi Economy by Adam Tooze. Essential reading for designers of wargames of this scale.

Wargame designers are always between the anvil and the hammer.
One is reality, other is playability.

Fortunately the game is very easy moddable and with couple of clicks Germans supply system can be even more crippled than now.

True that.

Let's hope that via modding players can be presented the same supply and resource problems the Germans historically faced. [:)]

Believe me, all you need is a text editor.
If you would be interested in making your game more difficult just let me know, I can help you with that.

Cheers! Unfortunately I'm very busy until mid-January, so it has to wait.
