So let's see if I have this straight.  Some cat fight posts were removed from a game forum and the cat fight has now moved to the general forum where it will soon be reined in?  Is that about it?

It really is none of my business...I respect that heck RR as far as I Know is a good guy. We had different opinion on a version of game but hey that is life. He is very knowledgable on several subjects which is great. You just don't need to slap degridation on people you don't know. Yes I said he gets a bit excited and may need a proza but heck everyone gets excited when they talk about something they are enamoured (typo probably) with. All I am asking is clarification on Forum Rules that is it no more and no less

Just curious.  what sort of threads are these?

Okay, here's an example: I made files available for download of an older patch/version of the game (1.02B). For it I was tag-teamed by Mr. Roadrunner and mwest. I never said everyone should download the files. I simply made them available for those who might want them. They are rather difficult to obtain, so others on the forum who had the files sent them to me. I use BOTH the newest patch (which is 1.04, NOT 1.05) as well as version 1.02B. There are certain modifications that were made to the game in newer patches that some folks aren't crazy about. So now they have the choice of using the newest patch or an older version. You can see the results for yourself here:

tm.asp?m=2964294&mpage=1&key=?

BTW..I am the one that asked the mod to lock it down.

It was not quite a cat fight. "Others" tried to do a pile on with unfounded accusations and recriminations. Those were scrubbed.
But, it should have been reigned in there, and I am sure it will be here too. [:)]

No problem with anyone discussing version 1.02. Though, from a poll taken, version 1.04 is the hands down winner. It contains features and benefits of play that most players want.

On the CS forum, my post answering your question would be met by the "cats" who wanted to parse my words and push forward their agendas.

For those interested I did not kick the cat, I did not murder anyone, and I did not drive my car the wrong way down a one way street. [8|]

Nobody stated that players should not download version 1.02B game patch? [&:]

I simply listed the functionality, units, nations, and rules that players would lose by reverting to an older patch.

Finally, I listed the numerous software bugs that players would inherit by reverting to a down level and unsupported game patch - version 1.02B. [8D]

None of which made any difference to someone who wanted version 1.02B. Those that want the earlier version want it BECAUSE they don't have the "features" of the newer version. And support for the older patch isn't necessary because it works fine as is. The "bugs" you mentioned are inconsequential to those who use the patch. People download 1.02B because of what it DOESN'T have. 1.02B is much closer to the "classic" Talonsoft version of the game, which is what some folks prefer.

Exactly my point with my post about the thread - it's bordering on spam.

Your post was deleted from a forum and you've decided to post it in the General Discussion forum.. [:-]

I'm actually very glad the JTCS is still going strong [&o]

It is actually to do with the fact that it's moved outside of the place where it wasn't posted to be posted here - and no - it's not actually just looking for clarification - it's being repeated seemingly with copies of what was posted - so it's not really just about clarification. And whatever the hell went on is still being carried on here.

If he's got a beef (or whoever the hell has) then they should contact Matrix. Not start the same bloody thing over again in a totally different forum!

Where next if the bloody post gets deleted from here?

Going back to the original post, I posted stating about a scenario I designed and was available for those interested.
Apparently someone posted in reply and the thread was withdrawn.
Same thing happened at the Blitz. I posted asking about frontages of formations in attack and defence and the same person
disrupted that thread as well, the topic was completely changed.
Take a look at the mod's post about me at the Blitz, amazing! I've mailed all the mods and explained they want to get their
facts right before slandering my reputation in public. Then, on this site I get my posts removed so, all I would say is, beware
the mods and the owners of the sites. It's a bit like Nazi Germany or Stalin's Russia, - you see what they want you to see and remove anything that others see, that is different to the propaganda they want to promote.
If you only want posts that further the improvement of JTCS and delete any others, then you make a sad mistake, something we Brits
fought for, 'Freedom of Speech'. Just go down the route of the tyrants, squash public opinion and promote your own propaganda.
I suddenly realised I don't need the forums anymore, I've wasted enough of my life putting up with the likes of RR and MW and the
sad actions of the mods who allow these characters to ruin EVERYONE'S threads that promote something they don't want, or, as someone said on the Blitz, 'urinates over everyone's threads all the time'.
Well, don't need Matrix either so probably bye bye here now for me, but, whilst you can view the post, realise the mods protect the tossers for some reason, despite members leaving the forums in droves. Front the mods over any issue in public and, you'll be quoted rule xxx500 and told to discuss it in private, such is their' lack of guts in allowing the truth to come out. No place for me I'm afraid.

Peter

Where next if the bloody post gets deleted from here?

It is one of nine threads with dozens of posts, that essentially had two members repeat and repeat the same similar themes.
Maybe they will start up their own website and go there?

The themes posted on the MatrixJTCS forum:

*Jason is bad. (which is funny as he is the Mod)
*Matrix is bad. (which is also funny because they own the site)
*CS version 1.04 is bad.
*The future version 1.05 patch will be bad.
*People who disagree with them are bad.
*People who come in to throw around unfounded wild accusations against others are good.
*Board Trolls who agree with them are very good.
*Version 1.02 is the best because you can more easily beat the AI.
*The original Talonsoft version is great for the two members who play and Jason/Matrix must revert back to it.

Don't defend Jason, or Matrix, or Version 1.04 and you'll be O.K. to go! [:)]
Here we get, "my post was deleted and I want to post it, don't show me the rules against it, or I'll post it again". [&:]
And, if you have a comment they cannot comprehend they revert to movie scenes where a Taxi Driver steps out and says, "You talkin' to me?" [:D]
