Gonna put 100,000 miles on the wheel...

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

Gonna put 100,000 miles on the wheel...

the mouse wheel, that is!

On my system it takes 9-10 full pulls on the mouse wheel to go from closest to furthest.

You've got to be kidding...

@Willgamer, we are aware of the issue and will see what can be done with that. We will try to reduce it 50k miles at least.

You mean break the left mouse button instead of the mouse wheel? [:'(]

This is a problem - one of the very, very few I've found in game. It's a big annoyance.

Maybe it's just me, but I find I do not use the mouse scroll wheel very much at all. I use the keyboard arrow keys most often to shift my map view. And if I want to switch from one end of the map to the other I will use the mini-map. But the keyboard arrow keys work very quickly for me.

I use the right mouse button on hold, which allows you to mouse drag the map and the zoom with mouse wheel seems OK, maybe it's the sensitivity settings on the mouse, but it works fine for me. [:)]

Well I'm not going to get into "my request doesn't make any sense because it works for others" and vice versa - because round and round we'll go. I really didn't mean it to be a challenge to anyone else.

My request was to the developer because I'm finding the zoom scroll to be a pita. If he chooses to do something about it, all the better for me. If he does and it doesn't affect anyone else, then everyones a winner.

I can go from min to max zoom with less than a single scroll of my mousewheel, shrug. There seems to be a lot of variation here based on individual systems.

No challenge, just a comment that the mouse setting might help, but it depends on the hardware (I have several mice and they all perform differently). If the devs can provide a fix, than that's even better. My position on this and other forum is the more choice, settings and alternatives, the better the game will be.[:)]

@Doom, thanks for the quick response; hope it's possible

@Bairdlander, thanks- the keyboard +/- is the best workaround for now

@Zakhal, tried different mouse settings to no avail

@Flaviusx, interesting- I'm on a fairly generic system running Win7 (64b); any idea what setting might be different?

@Rasputitsa, Fwiw I'm using a wired Logitech M100 mouse (low end optical mouse)

@all, Thanks for the replies [:)]

+1 for increasing mouse wheel sensitivity. Could you also do that for Storm over the Pacific?

Note to self: Try right mouse button zoom ASAP.

Right button does not zoom, but if you press and hold the right button, you can then drag the map with the mouse, which is a quicker way of getting around the board.[:)]
