Unit types

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

Unit types

Post by Lascar »

From what I can gather from the AARs, and other comments here, the basic types of land units appear to be: infantry, armor, para and mech infantry. Are there mountain infantry and cavalry also? And if not, will the editor allow for mods of this type to be created and added to nation's OOBs? Also, how are partisans modeled in ToF?

Level 1 mech is cavalry. No mountain infantry (I wish we had these, actually.)

partisans appear as low strength infantry, but can grow in strength if not destroyed.

De facto you get other functional types as well. Divisional level infantry, because they can't stand up in a real battle, but do great if positioned properly to besiege a city become the equivalent to a security unit. Mobile divisions with low tech levels, which again can't stand in the front lines in a standup fight, become light or recon units. You can give these units customized names if you want.
