Reserve a/c on carriers

Post by Miller »

Like most players I tend to expand all the airgroups in number to be just below 110% capacity, for example 78 a/c on a CV with 72 normal capacity. I have noticed you can add up to 4 reserve a/c to each sqd, which usually only raises the overall number of a/c (using the example) to 80 or 81 a/c.

I assume 3 or 4 spare a/c = 1 "ready to fly" a/c with regard to CV capacity. Therefore my question is.....is it safe to load up the CVs to the max with reserve a/c? I don't want to meet the enemy only to discover my planes wont fly due to overstacking.............

Before I do anything Im not 100% sure about, I save the game. Save the game, add your reserves, and then check the ac numbers on the carriers. If they arent red, you can fly. If they are, restart your save.

It is good advice, I didn't pay a rpice, but recently I noticed a number of my CV fighter groups had no fatigue, even though they were in heavy fighting. When I checked, with reserves I had overfilled the capacity.

That was 3 x 40 fighter groups out of my CAP!
