Terraforming and Other Facility Info?

Post by Keston »

1. Us there a way to find out what a facility does other than searching through the research tree?

2. Regarding terraforming, is there a way to tell if a planet needs repair and, if so, how much?

Yes. When a planet is damaged it will say (MAX xx%) In parentheses next to the current quality. Building a terraforming facility will restore the damage at a brisk but not too brisk pace.

On your other question, I'm not sure. I don't think so.

Thank you for your confidence.

I searched through the Galactopedia and forum before asking. I searched again after your post and found no Terraforming or Facilities entries. I then did a text search of the Help subdirectory in the Distant Worlds files and found the reference, but it was in Game Concepts alphabetized under P for "Planetary Facilities" rather than "F" for "Facilities" or "T" for Terraforming so I just passed over it..

My thought is that a search function would be useful for the Galactopedia (though not nearly as much as a search function for named map objects).
