What error message are you getting?? It's a little hard to say much without any info, but most likely you do not have enough DOS memory to tun it. You will have to free some up.

Look at the properties for your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files. Have they been modified recently? (The setups for new hardware, like sound cards, or even some applications often change those files without letting you know about it.) Also, to find out just how much free DOS memory you have, open a DOS command window and type:
MEM /C |MORE

This will give you the memory statistics. (You will have to press RETURN once or twice to scroll through it all.) Pay particular attention to "Maximum Executable Program size:"
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

PACWAR with Win 98 SE

Post by RayM »

Good recommendations.

I run PACWAR in Win98 SE with no problems. If you still have problems, I'll be happy to try and help. Many of us have gone through the same thing.

Hang in there.
