John, I think I can see part of your problem in getting publishers to take you seriously... [:'(]

I don't think you got the concept, Bradford.

I was the schmuk that said nothing, did nothing, just put my project out there. Once a publisher got hold of it, it was editor city.

Who the frik do you think you are to be talking about publishers anyway. I have a book contract, so they obviously take me seriously. So take your little attitude, and shove it in you brown place. Try writing a book and dealing with the publishing industry. Otherwise please refrain from commenting on what you know nothing about.

I think he was making up for a loss of player-sponsored gunplay and violence from the strike-shortened NBA season. A thoughtful gesture, to be sure. [:D]

John,

I think Brad was just having some fun with you in his previous post. Some playful collegial ribbing, nothing more, was my interpretation of his post. That's my take at least.

He was talking about the fact that you mentioned 20th century when it is actually the 21st Century... just because you have a book contract doesn't make you a god... he can chime in on whatever the hell he wants to. Maybe YOU should shove it in your brown place.

I have been AMAZED at the way you treat people on here and get away with it.

I love modeling of anything and to any scale. Railroads are cool, but I like wooden ships.

Well off for the night. Everybody get a good nights rest and we'll start fresh in the morning.

If not everyone is grounded.[:-]

Good night and don't forget what I said or else.[;)]

Dude, mix up another rum punch and go for a walk along the beach! Brad's teasing, that's all.

Egads, I thought the forum dwellers here were bad.  Just be browsing the Star Wars Old Republic forums [8|]  People are complaining that they were promised up to five days early access to the game and they aren't in six days before release.  Someone has even said they're taking the developers to court over a broken contract or something

Only the Kangaroo Court would take them seriously!

Yes, yes it is the 21st century, but he's a history author, not doing contemporary works!

Per, you trying to make some extra income before the Holidays? [;)]

From Minnesota Public Radio:

Last week, customs officers arrested a butter smuggler with 90 kilograms (200 pounds) stashed away in his car when he crossed the border from Sweden. Hawkers have been offering Swedish butter on the Internet for 400 kroner a kilogram ($32 a pound) — about six times the normal shop price.
Yeah, saw that in one of the evening papers ... wish I had thought of that first [:D]

Actually, there has been a followup on this. Apparentely, some enterprising dudes put up some butter on an norwegian auction site ... and got paid close to triple the amount you stated! [X(] Don't know if it's true or not. Could do some research, but why spoil a good story? [;)]

Norwegians ... [:'(]

Edited; Language incompability.
I saw this comic just a moment ago (not a setup, I swear...) [:D]

Image
Guess there's just a little truth in that! [:D]
