Controlling DOW Minors

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

Controlling DOW Minors

In the strategy guide that I read over at the Slitherine site one interesting tip was that when your AI opponent declares war on a neutral, save the game and reload which will allow you to add the attacked country. You then can control the minor's units and not rely on the AI. Have players been doing this or have you simply allowed the AI to handle the minor countries?

You don't even have to save and load, just press F12 button on your keyboard.

I am still learning, but use a mixture, as Axis the Finns can be be left to themselves, other countries I take over as they come into the hostilities. The main thing is that it is good to have the choice. The Finns have mainly got their front to themselves, but other countries get mixed with you main units and can get in the way (taking hexes that you want to use for other units) if you don't control them.[:)]
