HUCE problem & which version H3 ???

USING DOWNLOAD VERSION while waiting for box/disc -

Have installed all 3 H3 versions (??) , but HUCE won't install[&:]
It gets to the point of actually installing then says "can't run
uninstall executable" or something ?? and just exits ??
Is it a download thing ? Should i just try again with disc ?

THEN..... WHY still give me all 3 versions of H3 ?
Is it for "old saved games" etc. or are there proper
differences between ULTIMATE / 394 / 3.6.3 ??
I want to concentrate on one really[:(]

[ps. I prefer the LOOK of the HUCE, but I can sort
of FEEL (?) that H3 is more realistic if that makes
any sense ?!?!? ]

If I go to the Matrix Folder there IS a HUCE Folder
and in it a Uninstall Folder and in THAT a Uninstall.dat file ??

If I go to the Windows/Uninstaller Folder it is empty ??

Any Ideas ?

There are many differences between H3 and H3:ANW (a.k.a. ANW). The biggest difference is that ANW is capable of Multi-player. A number of new functions were added to ANW, but the cost was many new bugs to both the new features as well as the degradation in performance for the previous H3 functions.

If a scenario is written with a particular version of the game (either H3 (v3.6.3), ANW (v3.9.4), or HUE (v3.10)), it is generally advisable to play that scenario with the game version for which it was originally created. Scenarios written with H3 generally perform better with that version of the game for a number of reasons even if it *might* load and run for ANW or HUE. The primary reason for this is the fact that scenarios are usually tested only for the version in which they were initially created. The different AI behaviours between H3, ANW, and HUE means that a particular scenario performs quite differently under each game version. Only the PlayersDB allows a user to play the same scenario under each game version so that a player can decide which game version is most acceptable to him. A certain mission might work perfectly well in H3, but then totally fail to initiate in ANW or HUE.

So (barring slight chance of bugs?) stick with 3.10 ?!?

SO, that Players DB library ?
What IS it - scenarios - the actual platforms DB etc - ??
Do I need it if I've just bought the newest 3.10 ?

OH, got HUCE to install !!!
I went to the Windows/Uninstall folder and it was READ ONLY,
unticked that and presto, it has installed OK [;)]

HUCE it a "GAMIER" look and feel which i like, AND the scenarios
included are INCREDIBLE, just that H3 seems to be more errrr
"REAL" if that's the word ??? Is that a very rough estimation ?

I can see myself playing both HUCE and 3.10 alternately [8|][:D]

You will have to decide for yourself which version you like best. There are other players who asked the same question. They started trying the same PlayersDB scenario in H3, then re-playing the same scenario with ANW, and then re-playing it one more time with HUE. Afterwards, they decided which version was the most challenging for them.
