Higher resolution is great; what about fonts and windows?

Hi all,

Like everybody, I was thrilled to see WitP enhanced to allow higher resolution.

I'm playing at 1920 x 1080, and now I wonder whether it's possible to get larger in-game windows (or boxes, or whatever you call the displays of ship lists, unit data, etc.). Scrolling through long lists feels uncomfortable when the larger screen would allow you to see longer lists all at once. Is there a way to mod larger text boxes?

Also, is there a way to experiment with different fonts? (I know about the -AltFont modifier for the shortcut.) I love my bigger map at 1920 x 1080, but now the text is too small for my old eyes. When I chop it down to run at a lower resolution, the text seems a bit fuzzy.

Font changes are VERY difficult. There is one alt font in the game and it causes Michael headaches all the time with spacing. I would not anticipate any further fonts being supported.

I've been running the -altfont switch for some time and have never seen a difference.

Does anyone know exactly what font this alternate font is supposed to be?

I was hoping, apparently in vain, that the alternate font was sans serif as serif fonts are the bane of aged eyes everywhere!

Alas I seem to get the same serif font with or without the altfont switch.[&:]

The alternate font is sans serif, and much clearer in my opinion.

Make sure you type it in as -altFont, with the capital F.

thanks for the heads up.

no one ever said they were case sensitive to the best of my knowledge.

I don't get any error messages or failures to run as I have it presently set up so I assumed the switches were loading properly.

I'll check to see how I typed it when I get home from work tonight.

What a HUGE difference. I fixed the case problem in my switch last night and the difference was amazing.

Thank you SOOOOOO much.

Now I have to go on a hunt to find the thread with the switches so I can check to see which other ones I have not been loading properly because I typed them in all lower case.

I currently run -singlecpuorders -multiaudio -deepcolor and -altFont
