Emailing a Saved game?

Post by IdahoNYer »

Fairly new to DW, giving it a fresh start after picking up Legends.

I want to email a buddy my current saved game so he can take a look at it. Can't find the saved folder - thought this would be easy!

So where can I find the saves?

Go to current user profile or Admin Profile... search for

/AppData/Roaming/Code Force Limited/Distant Worlds/1.7.0.7/Saved Games

It could be 1.7.0.6 or whatever version you are playing under.

So long as you're logged in as the person who played the saved game then pointing Windows Explorer at %APPDATA%\Code Force Limited\Distant Worlds will get you to the correct parent directory. Your saved game will be in [version]\SavedGames underneath. That should be enough but if you have many version subdirectories like I did then you could load your game up and choose "Save game as..." from the menu in game. You'd then be able to read what directory the game would use to resave your game.
