Define "concept" when used in regards to "ignore". Is the "concept " to ignore, or do we ignore the "concept".

That may help those struggling with this thread, to better cope with the failure of there resolutions.
One of the serious problems in planning the fight against American doctrine.... is that the Americans do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligation to follow their doctrine

I think you're on to something there. If we attempt to ignore a concept, then we are as part of the act recognizing the concept, which is quite not-ignoring it. Hmmm...

They go hand in hand. The root issue here is understanding that the concept is to ignore. However, it is arguable that in failing to do that, one could be ignoring the concept, among other possibilities (simply ignorant of the concept; not fully convinced of the concept and is thus undecided; etc.). Moreover, as witpqs has pointed out, by deliberately ignoring the concept one is actually practicing the very concept they are attempting to ignore.

Ironies abound.

Clearly, we're in need of more material to ignore. I do my part.

Maybe I should repost this elsewhere in one of those, "what plane is this" threads instead?

Seriously-it's USN. Circa WWII. Not F4U. F6F?
