DW:Legend and Babylon 5

So, after playing the return of Shakturi and especially after legends I can’t help, but find something common in the story line between Shakturi and Ancients from DW, and Shadows and Vorlons from Babylon 5.
I wish we could make scenarios. The inbuilt editor helps a bit, but it lacks the ability to create. I see Zenox as Minbari, Mortoleans as Narn. Not sure who can represent Centauri…
Who else think there is something in common?
P.S. I do not say it is a bad thing. Quite opposite. ^)
