How do I acquire most recent game manual?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

How do I acquire most recent game manual?

Post by csarebel »

The one at the load up screen is out of date. The one in my directory (us letter) will not open. I would also like to be able to down load a copy to my smart phone so I can read it during downtime when I am at work.

How can I get the most recent manual?

You must have got a bad download or something. The ...[US-LETTER] one is date stamped 12/01/2011 and came with the latest update patch. As a .pdf it works just fine on my Droid X. Be sure you have the latest Adobe Reader for both your PC and your smartphone.

How can I get the most recent manual?

When you install the latest patch you get the latest updated manual!

It is located in the "\War in the East\Manuals" folder and under name:

"WITE-Manual-[US_LETTER].pdf"

I know this because I created it... [;)]

And Thank You for that Apollo11. I've been doing the same updating the Empires in Arms manual. It's a lot of work but it would be nice if every game had somebody do the grunt work to keep up with the version changes.

I got it! I got it!! Seems the problem was my PDF reader. I thought I had Adobe but I had some other one. Weird.

I downloaded Adobe and it opened fine. I even printed the WHOLE thing up and put it in an empty notebook.

Thanks for all the help guys!

The "us letter" contains all addendum at the end of the manual...such as HQ needing to be within 20 MPs of a rail head in order for supply buildup to work.

The "WITE-Manual-[US_LETTER].pdf" is updated WitE manual with:

#1
All sigthed manual errors/typos (since release of WitE) fixed

#2
Fully jumpable sections (i.e. when you click on referece x.y.z you go to that section)

#3
Addendum with all latest stuff added to the WitE

You can use a free program called Calibre to convert different book formats from other formats. I have used it to covert from PDF to epub for my Sony reader (although not for the game manual).
