DLC - USSR, decreasing core??

Is this by design?
After the first attack on the USSR, my allowed (to place) core is getting smaller every scenario?
I feel sorry for my poor pilots that are not allowed to participate [;)]

It's a 'feature' of the Kiev scenario.

Greece has the same thing going on.  The scenario before it has more core slots.  It's somewhat explained in the briefings, but it has lead to a lot of confusion unfortunately.

I hate that part, I want to take my 25 core units and smash Greece in 4 turns, hehe

If it really is the DLC you are referring to, it's not that your core size is shrinking, it's because you're picking up extra core units (captured equipment) that is taking up your available core deploy slots.

Ah, did not think about that, but you might be right since I've picked up a T34 and a KV-2.
