ORIGINAL: SLAAKMAN

Mr warspite1
No no no Slaakman. If you are talking David Bowie, then there is but one song above all others : Ashes to Ashes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMThz7eQ6K0
It is very true that Ashes to Ashes was the ultimate surreal-acid sound coming from Bowie and the timing, 1983 was a Twilight Zone era reflecting the London New Romantics phenomenon. Keren's soooo stunning. What Id give for a Temporal Displacement Device right about now;

Slaakman - sorry, just seen this. Ashes to Ashes was iirc 1980 or maybe 81, definitely not as late as 1983.

As for Bananarama, I always preferred Siobhan to Karen, although looking back I'm not sure why [&:].....maybe because she was as mad as a box of spanners [X(]. No one fancied Sarah [:-].

Their best song (and by some way)?

Cruel Summer [&o][&o][&o]

Yes I'm pretty sure that Scary Monsters (the album that had Ashes to Ashes) was released in '81. The mid to late 80s was a kind of hit and miss for Bowie. Let's Dance was the last of his good albums 'til the mid 90s IMHO.

How about Marillion - Steve Hogarth Marillion?

Very contemplative & beautiful Mr Teddy, thank you. Sorry I took so long to review it but after all I am the Mighty Slaakman. [:'(] [:D]
Thankyou Mighty Slaakman. A much underrated band.

Germany's unforgivable crime before the Second World War was her attempt to extricate her economy from the world's trading system and to create her own exchange mechanism which would deny world finance its opportunity to profit.
