Welcome back, Des... truly great news.

Years ago a friend of mine was reported dead by his college alumni newsletter. Apparently his newsletters had been addressed to his father's house and when his father died one was returned as "deceased". After the issue reporting his death was published we held a wake for Michael. So far, he is the only person I know who has attended his own wake - at least in an ambulatory manner. Perhaps Des may have a chance to join that exclusive club...

Well, I didn't get to watch any BG.  Instead, I spent the last 3 hours doing Geometry homework that wasn't started until 2030 hours.  [8|]

Every 4th Monday evening at my new job is a new deployment into the production environment and everyone in the entire company stays late to help out and be ready to tackle any problems that might arise.  I get my first one tomorrow night.  I need to hit the rack to be as ready as I can for a 14 hour work day tomorrow.  [X(]  [>:]

I was a bit worried on Monday though, as my Son Daniel was in Christchurch City for a birthday party. He was in the Eastern Suburbs where the flooding and some damage was, and the flat he was in got trashed. He luckily managed to get out of the City (lots of bridges and roads closed), and back down here that night. But I was a worried camper for a while, as the cell-system went down, and I couldn't get in contact with him for some time.

We simply didn't caught that "Basil" person that wrote to Mike wasn't your son... the news he gave us was terrible and nobody noticed that...
