Is war with USA on Dec. 7th inevitable?

Post by pditty8811 »

I like to play as Japan, and my strategy is to finish on other fronts before attacking USA.

Can i postpone the war with the USA until I am ready?

I am playing the Grand Campaign from 1941-1946, I think it is.

I like to clean up China first.

Also, if I attack the Dutch East Indies will the USA declare war on me?

There are no declarations of war in the game, hostilities with the USA, British Commonwealth and Nederlands is a given event.

I'm sure the IJA wanted to clean up China first which was one of the reasons that the War in the Pacific occured.

Can you be more specific plz? Does the event occur every time on Dec. 7th? Is it triggered by something, or automatic?

Thank you.

If your forces are within range of the allies , they or the allies will fight. Even if you stand down your forces, they won't.

I believe the opposition AI depends on scripts to run it's statagy. Writing scripts for variable starts might be beyond possibilty as the variations would be virtually endless.

I try to remember that a good many of the people on this forum are not native English speakers and so give them a good bit of slack when it comes to specific spelling and grammar.

Thanks!

My favourite mistakes usually are with word order. The differences to German are
so subtle that I sometimes don´t notice.

Actually I think English is much more flexible and colorful than German, thats why I prefer
to read British and American authors in their native language rather than the German translation.

The translations always seem lose something on the way...

Don't worry, the human brain only needs a few letters in the correct position to read a word.
Which is why most people understand the above without much hassle.

Cool eh? [:)]

I am having trouble reading documentation from an English company written in English! And not translated to another language and back.
The grammar and spelling can be terrible. Which causes me to ask for clarification as sometimes it totally reverses what I believe I asked for.

There is no declaration of war by anybody on anybody in this game. No event to trigger. You are always at war with all countries on the other side.

Good to see T is awake, and about 10 posts behind.

I suppose it took time to write about 25 word more than usual.

It's at least as good as some examples I've seen from inner city High School students... Sigh. [8|]
