I would, but I think Doomtrader said the upcoming patch will not be backward compatible for games in progress. Is that right, Doomtrader?

Questions for Doomtrader:

1) when the patch comes out, will it become official and be put immediately on the Slitherine PBEM server?

2) in general, how will such transitions be handled in the future? I can see someone playing PBEM for a year and a half, only to have a new official version of the game make the current game impossible to continue.

Do you mean so long as both players either don't apply the patch, or keep a pre-patch version, no problem?
