Well if you were submarine qulaified like myelf you'd know that the inuction inlet is the big pipe that air is sucked in through when the donks are running. You'd really want them dogged shut when the boat is diving...

Please don't tell me the Tojo is carrier capable? How in the Hell did they get that many planes in teh air over PH when 9/10 recon shows 99% airfield destruction? They can't be LRCAP as they are scrambling, right?
Some Marine F4F's from Exmouth are in the wrong place. Doh! I skipped the airfield attacks today to go after the port facilities. D'oh! At least it was quite a good port raid. Good luck unloading anything except by amphibious TF.

I deduce from this we are really hurting their ground readiness at PH and they want the air attacks to stop.
I propose we decline to oblige. Weather permitting, we can go after PH airfield tomorrow with the heavies only and fighter sweeps. Amazing how far off the recon assessment is on enemy airfield damage with expereinced recon P-38 pilots overhead.

Yeah, like I said, to keep from sinking. [:)] Did they tell you when you were submarine "qulaifed" where the damn LYB merchies and tankers are? [:D]

Let's go after Broome instead, I'd bet yankee dollars that's where they're based.

Meanwhile, while collecting sea cucmber migration data South of Fukue-jima, SS Haddo has a bad scare when she is attacked by 12 kt PB's despite her SPCA and Univ. of Calif. flags clearly displayed.

Yes, it seems more likely they could get that many planes in the air from a field in better shape, but would they be scrambling like that on the combat report? How could they possibly get to PH in time?
