I dispatched several convoy from CT to Melbourne with million tons of Supplies and half million fuel. One of the convoy was caught on its way home by Betty in the middle of no where and suffered bitter losses.

It's about 20 plus hex from the nearest Japanese base and I have no idea how would it be possible Jap navy bombers to locate this convoy.

There are 1 brigade, 1 regiment and a total of 20,000 Jap troops on Diego Garcia. It's much more than I expected(I'm expecting 1 regiment and some base forces)

While we prepared 2.5 divisions (9th India Div is only 50% strength, I brought as an reserve) and 2 combat engineer battalion for it.

But with the support of navy we managed to succeed in Day 1. Get a 2:1 odd in the combat and the atoll should fall to Allied hand tomorrow.

The heavy losses in Noumea didn't scare Championzhao. He simply shrug off the losses and brought in more troops and attack again.

This time US troops were overwhelmed and Noumea falls. Over 30,000 brave Americans were either KIA or captured. The biggiest single loss of Americans since the beginning of the war.

And Japs payed almost 60,000 casualties for taking Noumea. Over 1,000 squads were permanently lost. Taking the losses in India into account the almighty Japanese Southern Army lost over 3,000 infantry squads in the past 3 months. But I figure there will just replace the losses and march on. The total AV of Jap army(mobile) is over 23,000 now!
