German AI Naval Builds

Hi,

Not sure if this is WAD, but I'm playing as Allies against the AI and after checking the Aug. 9 1940 saved turn as Germany, I noticed that Germany had a navy consisting of 3 carriers plus one more being built, 17 battleships, 39 cruisers plus one more being built, and 53 subs plus 3 more being built.

This is larger than the UK navy which stands at 7 carriers, 15 battleships, 41 cruisers and 13 subs.

Is this possible ?

Hi,

This is (or rather was) WAD, but for the upcoming patch we have reduced AI's tendency to build such massive fleets.

Hi, you may already be aware but the AI naval builds don't appear to subject to the build-time constraints of a human player either. Also the 'Schlesien' and 'Schleswig-Holstein' surely shouldn't really feature in the German OOB for the various campaigns - weren't they pre-Dreadnoughts, really just training ships? I've had them convoy raiding off east Africa. In a similar vein shouldn't the (early) german u-boats have to return to port every few turns? - they couldn't carry much in the way of fuel or ammunition but seem to able to annihilate convoys off Arabia. Thanks.
