Setting an AI vs AI game.

Post by governato »

I have been trying ot set up an AI vs AI game but with no success. I set both sides as 'Computer controlled', start a scenario..and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? My goal would be to jump in taking over one of the AIs every now and then to practice different parts of the campaign without having to play the whole thing.
Hope it is possible! But how? Thanks in advance!

Press <end turn> to make it going.

Is there a way to stop the turn so you can examine the map and game information?

I discovered that one can click on the various info screens and pause the game. Just dismiss the screen to restart the AI. You can retake control of one side by unclicking the AI option and wait until the following turn. You can return control to the AI at any time using the same method and then pressing <end turn>. The turn does not end, but the AI takes over. Pretty awesome. Of course the AI has..opinions, I set on 'refit' all the Panzer divisions on one turn as their TOEs were low, only to see them back onto 'ready' mode the following turn. Well nobody is perfect...
