Open Beta for v1.01 starts now

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

From initial testing

- with 7:1 still no losses for the attacker - WAD?
- we were supposed the get some notifications about effects of subs around UK, so far have seen none.

EDIT> May not be beta related, but I've just met with empty Warsaw, three units around it to the north, southern entrance undefended... :(

My copy is from Matrix and had no problems with using the code key.  Launching the beta v1.01 and found my saved games there, and was even able to open and play the ones that were crashing the game back to desktop - cool.

I've tried the Barbarossa scenario, where I can get loads of 7-1 odds at the beginning. I'm seeing losses almost every combat.

Well, exactly, maybe I misunderstood that it won't be possible to have 7-1 and no losses? Or does it mean that sometimes there are losses and sometimes there aren't?

Also I'm more concerned about the subs, still putting them in the Atlantic and not knowing if they are doing anything or not...

Don't worry the subs are working.

Check your raider activity.

In the test I ran, out of approx 10 7-1 combats, only one had no loss to the attacker.

If you look at 'raider activity' in the reports section, you'll see something like:

'so and so flotilla attacked a convoy in the xyz sea zone and inflicted x STP losses'

It's the 'inflicted x STP losses' that is new, I believe.

A very welcome change, indeed.

Up to turn 30 as the Russians in the Grand campaign. So far running smoothly w/ no ctds, etc. One thing I have noticed is that the Germans attacked the Netherlands, Belgians, and Luxembourg but didn't get a notice of war declaration popup until one or two turns later (actually, a Luxembourg surrendered popup occured prior to the war declaration popup).

Odd. I bought through Matrix Games, and my serial worked on the Beta with no problems.
Could it be computer related in any way?

I was checking to see if I got the beta running this weekend and it did. The onlt thing I saw before closing the game was the improved placing for the command buttons on the right.
And the only thing I have done since then is registrating my game in the member area on the net. Now I got time to check it properly, it doesnt start.
Got error msg "AppName: tof.exe     AppVer: 0.0.0.0     ModName: tof.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0     Offset: 000cb520"
The txt file that got the full report was sited in an hidden place in my documents and will take 26m to reveal.
I do it if u need it otherwise I rather skip that.

So before I reg my game I got msg that I should reg it but it starts. Now when I reged it it crash??

Should I reinstall the beta with my game reged or what?

All the serials should work so something odd is going on. Can someone PM their order ID so I can look up the serial that is not working.

We've found the issue. The serials were all exported from the system but anyone who had regsitered their serial (e.g. multiplayer) had the serial was combined with their username when exporting making it unreadable. It's been fixed and we're uploading a new installer that fixes the problem. Sorry for the frustration!

Perfect unit merge now, and my personal favorite: "Maximum values of reinforcements on territories controlled but not owned moved to consts.ini file".

Unit panel cant be hidden.

Firsts impressions with the 1.01 version. I played about 30 turns on the grand campaign with Germans.

1. Very stable version up to now. I did not experienced any crashing issue. Good job!
2. Abviously there are much less pp available every turn, which is
More challenging but interesting.
3. Unfortunalely ussr attacked on July 1st 1940 (which is surprising as I was not agressive (I just put few division on some Poland cities). I really don't
Know it is a normal game
Behavior or not (I might have
Been unlucky )
For
The
Rest so far so
Good! Congrats to the dev
Team keep up !
