Turn 5 Oct 1st 1939:

Poland Surrenders, this is quite pathetic. Though we do not lose our resolve. SitzKrieg has started and the Battle of The Atlantic will now commence.

A titanic struggle between two opposing ideologies to determine Axis or Allies. So far a few shots on our navy and transportation infrastructure. We're unhindered in our efforts to prove the Axis SuperDreadNaught Tanks are merely that, just old fashioned. Our Scientists sit in Top Secret Laboratories inventing the next great Super Weapons(Modern Ones) meanwhile the Axis sit in their silly Boots, rusting with old equipment. Also our Tacticians sit at the forefront of logistical planning...our Strategic Goals(TOP SECRET)

Our forces storm through in Blitz fashion, taking Netherlands in one turn, then on to over run the Belgiun .. too few forces with no reserves welcome our tanks.. although I am concerned that my forces do not seem to be able to upgrade in germany with pp.. maybe we need to research! ouch...
Lots of planes over head cheer our troops as we enter the edges of france and the late fall rains begin to fall.. Will GB enter int othe contest for France.. we did not agree to no Sea Lion, although I am loath to invade. We will see, Italy starts in humble fashion.. How about a NEW EVENT????

We will defeat the French and then we will look to the progressive members of the world to recognise our place as the supreme rats in this maze.

Outside of Luxembourgh city, De Hauteclocque with our own Armor take home to the Germans the feel of French Armor... Repelling this preemptive invasion. tank to tank destroyed 64 to our 33... Meanwhile the French Air Force lays down on the invading 1st and 2nd Panzer in Belgium with Hundreds of bombs.

The Brave Belgian Forces repel 1 German Division in Their Sovereign nation and France destroys 2 German Divisions Near the Maginot.. All is not as well for the Fascist Invaders as Winter sets in...

Reims is threatend Dun kirk bypassed.. Lille falls as stunned French civillians watch as the helpless recently mobilized troops are valient, and are dead..
The French will no doubt resest, and I do not choose in beta tof watch event chooices there are, so we may fight to the death, or Vichy may ignite the debates of a thousand patriots from both side...
NOW on to PARIS!!!
Upgrades seem to be in place.. not sure why the mobil to armored division isn't avail, my ministers insist the testing of the new 75 mm guns are not going well and delays are forced upon me..
player note... a 0-0 mobil infantry unit is about as pethetic as they come, and I have a few running around... that will need to be addressed
From the V1 to beta I see a much improved and challenging loack of PP forthe Germans... good so far...

reims holds on, as do two minor infantry outposts against repeated German infatry assualts...
The Panzers roll on down the coastline, over running a French airbase and capturing, sic, French tacair.. the planes where burned.
Italy joins the valient forces
This was not our best week.. a few French troops pushed back.. we toodk some time to move air and armor forward from the rear, and polish oriented forces from the recent hostilities there continue to trickle in.... I am almost out of the forest and into the plains pat Maginot... I must take Paris and over run the country soon, or the time table for the balkins will be seriously inteupted..
 
One odd game tidbit, I started my player turn as the Italians... they then activated after they ran turn.. Germany went, and then Italy again.. now that never happened to me before, effectivley giving the Italians a double move.. too bad they are too weak to use it!

After a thrilling assault upon the German Invaders all across the Front [:'(] French Forces decompose before an enemy prepared and ready for Total War. Could we have seen this coming? In the Immortal Words of Foch, " "This is not peace. It is an armistice for 20 years! "

Mets and PAris are approached.. several weaker French units are illiminated, and most of the French airforce is caught near paris by LW counter air attacks and removed from the game.
There does not seem to be a GB presence in France, thats lucky.. I was unable to over run Dunkirk, but it was reduced severely.. Reins fell...
There is not much left of the Mighty French..
It is so hard to defend in 39
In the next turns Mets and Paris, LE Havre and Dunkirk should fall...
The Italians make slow pace along the coast and sneaking through the alps...

France keeps waiting for a little Snow to slow down things. All the Ice is in the East where she cannot use it. Despite this again a few Wehrmacht Divisions are repulsed in front of Paris. Front is Wide Open

my troops run out of men and gas at Paris, but thinning lines between Paris and the forts in Maginot see the begining of no army in France...

my air remains my one great advantage.. and the snow coming will help my panzers mobility.. althou I am not sure he will hold for too much
Le Havre isolated, PAris almost bi passed.. the river lines breached and multiple holes in front.. we will see how long France lasts

note that other than Paris... there is little else with combat strength left in the French army... Panzers take advantage of the snow to cointinue the encirclement.. MAginot is abandonedd in parts... and the alps breached by the Italians... The French may last a few more weeks, but no more...
unless they get a miracle event...
notice all the 0 strength units, I just did not have enough to end them that turn

BBC Broad Cast: 2 Italian Divisions wiped out and 1 Tactical Air Unit obliterated in a SeaBourne/Naval/Air attack upon the Italian Colony of Libya. All Italian Ports of Entry to North Africa, closed.

Prime Minister as quoted, "Where doing what we can, and where we can, little it may be. We shall prevail!"
