Just sent to Stanislav:

FatR
Just loaded the files you sent me (Scen 70) and they do not have the changes made to IJN LCUs. The changes made by you and ksfgo didn’t impact the ground stuff—right? Can I use the files sent and KEEP the LCU file? Nevermind that doesn’t work either because I moved planes around some (like the Tinas to Babeldoap) and that wouldn’t show up either.

Only good news here is that I am running the Scenario as Scen 78 and not 70.

Do you know which file is the Ship Classes file? I know the changes for China are included in Scen 78 so if I just move the ship classes file then things should be OK with my ongoing games.

Also means that I need to make the finishing changes to Scen 70 as I did for 78 by deleting the SNLF and replacing them with Assault Brigades, the ADU replacing the Naval Guard, etc... CRAP! Stupidity. Must have missed one of the file updates when we were trying to get this out. Has to be my fault...

OK. Things look pretty good. I uploaded the wpa, wpc, and wps files from 070, renamed them to 078, and dropped them into my on-going game with Lew. Everything looks pretty good. Have asked FatR for a specific example of his work that was excluded from 078 to make sure this has been fixed. IF we are good then we can Post these files separately for anyone who started 4.0 under 078 or 070. Will Post again when I know we're OK.

Updated Scenario

Post by John 3rd »

I've sent to Stanislav our corrected files for RA 4.0. Got everything fixed after he found out we had missed a handoff with the rush to finish the Mod.

Additionally, I sent the 3 new Allied Load Screens as well so the Allies might have something to look at other then superior Japanese RA ART!

Enjoy Guys!

I've uploaded everything on the site. For those who already started games in the previous version of 4.0 - you probably things should be able to update your existing games, but I still advise to make a reserve save before doing it. Updating wpa.dat and wpc.dat (aircraft and classes of ships) is least likely to cause bugs, wps.dat and wpl.dat (ships and locations) might potentially be problematic.

You also, won't miss the key changes, namely increased China garrizon requirements, and bringing the mod to DaBabes standard, even in case of inability to update. You'll miss more rational upgrades on Japanese DDs and CAs, plus the ability to upgrade the Nick line into nightfighters. The latter is not quite as important anymore, because the latest beta, as far as I can see, had reduced the potency of nightbombing very considerably.

guys, I know you have moved on from RA, but I just have couple of questions regarding my freshly started PBEM and I would very much appreciated answers.

1. 11 Air Fleet - I have it as static in Formosa, is this WAD? This is very important HQ, since it has 5 hex radius.

2. 5th Air division - I'm not sure if this is a mod issue or more general tech support. I had this unit load transports in the first turn for PI. Once unloaded, I got this message (see picture). Half of the unit is in Iba and the other half disappeared and is scheduled to return in 31 days. To make matters worse, parent part of the unit is gone, with all my torpedoes ???

I went through the tracker and it appears that there are few other HQs that are similarly divided (half on map, half in reinforcements cue)

25th Army
20th Army
1st Air Division

Any advice?

I opened RA in editor and 11th Air Fleet doesn't have any static devices, yet in game it is static. Those 88 guns have asterisks.

Thanks to Mr. Wolfie and Michael, we found a couple of errata within RA 4.0. When I decided to add some AA capability for several types of Japanese units, I did not realize there were two differing types of 88MM gun. Unfortunately I chose the static variant and so NOTHING with those guns could move. Additionally, the radar that several ground units upgrade to was the SHIP-BASED variant. We got those fixed and did a database update. FatR has already replaced the files. Since this is just database work, anyone using the the current files will have no issue downloading these small changes into their existing games. Just click YES when it asks for the update with database question.

Anyone else spot issues, PLEASE let us know. Greatly appreciate the work and help.

Thanks guys.

Any chance of those Chinese hordes being addressed in some future revision?

Does Tracker 1.8 work with this mod ?

One of the serious problems in planning the fight against American doctrine.... is that the Americans do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligation to follow their doctrine

Tracker works with RA.

We found some errata within 4.0 and have updated the files. As mentioned before if anyone has a current game running (4.0) it is no problem to add the changes. It did not impact Lew or Roland's games whatsoever.

Just did a closer look as an Allied player getting ready to play DivePac88. I find that ALL American BFs, including the static ones, have a full TO&E. [8D] In my other games it takes most of early '42 to fill out the units.

Please keep on eye on pieces of this. We need to know any issues/errata that either you or DivePac notice.

Just went through the Allied OOB and it appears that the opening USA BF all start at 100% strength. Luckily it is ONLY those units. I will correct and send Stanislav the amended file to place on the RA Site. This will impact only starting games. Those who already have a game started (ie Lew and I) will have everything remain the same. Merry X-Mas to American player who are already playing RA 4.0!

Pulled this from the Thread I opened.

Michael found that all at start USA BF in Scen 70 were beginning at 100% strength. Specifically slots 5000-5049 so I went back to Scen 1 and checked out what they were supposed to be and then changed them to their historical starting numbers. I don't want to have Stanislav work all 11 files so the wpl file is what I need for the change. THANKS Terminus!

This is now fixed and I shall send the wpl file to Stanislav for replacement.

Once again this only impacts new games.
