vpaulus: Sri about taking so long for reply.....Usage was as you suspected (bah) 100%.....must be to large for my XP machine, I'm still testing it on Win7 and I seem to be progressing OK.[;)]

Nikivdd: Tried to install your saves but had no luck getting them to play, prob my fault. I reloadede all the 5 mods (fresh downloads), could only get to about the same place, I guess my machine does not havr the poop fro such a big map etc. Thanks both you guys for the assistance and patience. Next I try it as a Stand alone scenario for Stuff & Giggles.[&o][8D]

It was the memory usage (it's the next column)that I wanted to know, which is a number in Kb.[:)]
The crash might be related with codecs, although you've been playing for a while in that XP machine, didn't you?

If it's more than 1Gb, the game can crash.
But you're not using mods, I highly doubt that reason. Is only happening with that Nico's campaign?

VPaulus: Here is results; Turn 9-27 CPU usage 100%, Page File = 893 MBs, Process 98/99%.

Working great on Win 7 machine now. ??????

For Mods (folder) I have Niki's 1-2-3-4-5 installed. All otrher conditions are Vanilla and DLC 39.

More Info: 'C' Drive (PzC installed on) Cap: 37.7 GB , 30.0s Used, = 3.75 Free space.

'F' Drive (had it on this one) Cap: 232 GB, 11.4 Used = 221 Free Space (It failed at the same turn or so depending on the number of units on screen).

By the way I would like to add, this is a great game and the support you have given is really GREAT !!!! TU

Believe it or not planner 3, but I'd like to be near your machine, just to troubleshoot this issue. [:)]
Unfortunately, I'm not.
I could however suggest, to download, Game Booster (it's free) and try with it.
Game Booster tweaks the system and helps in improving the performance, by temporarily shutting background processes and unnecessary Windows services and cleaning RAM.
If you want to give a try here's the link:
http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html
I've used some times in the past, and was easy to work with. I don't know how this newer versions work, but they must use the same principle.

VPaulus: Like they say on Postcards...."Wish you were here"....hehehe...Well I downloaded, installed, Boost and it gave me a 42% increase in game, BUTT it still stops at the same place.

I don't want to waste your time any longer, I'll experiment with page file etc. to see if it'll help. I'm afraid to order the 40, 41, DLC's now. I'll post here if it works out with XP.

Tanks again....Planner 3 (aka Chief)

Nico's maps are more demanding than DLC.
Could I ask you another favor? Could you send me a save file just before crashing?
And you are not wasting my time. [;)]

VPaulus: I will send you my save in AM, but just for info, I played this scenario more/many ways to Sunday (at least 40 times) attempting t0 find a work around. I finally noticed a trend, when I select the 66th SU122r Germany to move, BINGO lock up, I was able to repest this 6 times. I moved all the other units in this turn without a problem. I suspect that the unit should be designated Romanian vice Germany or maybe even a captured designation. ???????PS: I was playing the Axis side. I moved this unit from its start point to a point midway on the map without a problem. Well I'll try to get SAVE to you in AM.

@VPaulus: thanks for the support :)

Overall i can say that the average mapsize is 45x45 with a maximum of 250 units.
So what must it be with those jumbo size maps and whole divisions placed on them...

@Planner 3: there is in the whole campaign only 1 SU122 you can capture. Perhaps i should replace the unit by something else.
You could also try to disband this unit at the deployment phase (you receive prestige for it) and puchase something else. I wonder if it will give you the same problem during this scenario then.

OK, thanks planner 3.

Niki suggestions is good, if you could try to disband that unit. If we know what's causing the issue, it will be more easy to fix.[:)]
When you tested in your new Win 7 machine, did you carry the save games with you? Or start from the beginning?

Will experiment further with both XP and Win 7 and also will apply Nikivdd possible fix. I don't remember exactly how I got that unit so I'll look a little closer on that account. Rest easy for a couple of days....."I shall return"....now who said Dat ????

OK here's the latest on the PHANTHOM SU122. Started GTGP5 AGAIN,plays fine till turn 7/27, up pops the "Flying Dutchman" (SU122r) with German markings on hex 37.23, I didn't ask for it, I don't want it, but there it is plain as day. I go to the drop down list (mit der pictures) to Disown and get credit, mind you I'm not touching the unit on the map this time, just the picture in the drop down .....POW, Game Locks up. It tales two (2) ctrl-alt-del clicks to get the Task Manager to end the game also every time. There is something definitely rotten in Den....whoops Russia. VPaulus did you get my saves ? (This occurs only on the XP machine so far.)

Yes I've received them now.
I will look into them, tomorrow.
Maybe Nico will also want to look at them.
Don't worry, we'll try to solve this.
Thanks Robert.
