fog of war...German armor identified as American...?

I have just started playing "All American over Nijmegen" and at one point my paratroopers caught sight in the distance some German armor coming our way. Looking at the ES they were identified as a handful of M10's and a single M4-75mm!? I believe there was another thread about something similar awhile back ago...but I cannot find it...and do not remember the punchline. Is this an instance where these are believed to be captured American armor (doubtful, and I do not recall the Germans using captured American armor in numbers during Market Garden). Is this a left over from Battles from the Bulge where Americans were aware that there was some captured American armor in German hands...Or is this a bug. I would expect unidentified armor to must often be mistakenly identified as Tigers or at least Panthers as was often the case.

I am not far enough into the scenario to actually make a firm identification of this formation yet, it came into view momentarily and then kept heading south and out of site...for the time being.

I am really impressed and enjoying the recent updates and the new HTTR scenarios, great job!

captured equipment maybe? like the 150th german Pz brigade in the bulge?

Most likely captured equipment as after the retreat from France many tanks had been destroyed so I expect they had to throw in what every they could during MG.

The intel grabs random but similar estabs for the phantom reports that you see on the UI. It is grabbing Skorzeney's estabs for no particular reason.

That should be it, if the ESTAB in HTTR expansion has no changes from previous one.

Btw, what´s the "Default Enemy APerFP" and "Default Enemy AArmFP" in Forces data window (of ESTAB editor) exactly used for? [&:] The manual says it´s used for the intel code...

IMO intel reports should better match true unit types. It´s oftenly strange to see pure foot units ID´d as mechanized infantry, if it´s safe that these units do not contain a single vehicle, not to mention any armored one.

If threat code is based on this, then I see various problems...

I agree with your point about the need to correlate intel with actual estab type. Now that we have subForceTypes this shoul be do-able. I'll look into it.
