Bomb accuracy

Post by btbw »

How bombing accuracy depend from where bomb carrying?
I know gun accuracy double better for centerline guns.
What with INT, EXT, CL bombs?

I don't think bombs get any accuracy bonus by location, only by bombing type (dive, glide etc) and altitude. Centerline guns have doubled accuracy only for fighters, not for other planes.

Can't speak for the game but in RL, no.

The only significant difference would be if the bomb is stowed internally or externally and that would effect your delivery options. Internally hung bombs usually have to have a positive 1G, straight and level flight requirement. Airframe restrictions on the bomb bay doors also come into play with internal bomb loads. Also some external racks seem to jog my memory as having some nominal limitations but I'm pretty sure they would not effect any normal delivery method or drop accuracy.

I also was an AOCS NFO. Why not go the full 20 years?
