Destroyed Units

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Destroyed Units

Post by nate25 »

All,

When a unit is represented as destroyed on the map with a cross, is this solid intel?

Can you count on it being out of the fight?

Thanks,
Nate

I wondered about this as well

Also - why can you click on some crosses and not on others?

My guess would be it´s disbanded unit with remnants going to another enemy one, which likely falls under FOW.

I think the cross is only for destroyed units. The disbanding RH speaks of is under FOW and wouldn't be noticed by you......I think.

Hi,

I've found that clicking on crosses as soon as the (saved) game is loaded does not work but advancing the game by 1 minute makes them all workable. Also, once the game is running sometimes a cross amongst many others will not work but this is solved by zooming in so that there is no clustering....

FWIW.........

Corss os there for any unit that is no longer in game due to to either destroyed by fire, surrender or disbanded. In all the time I've played it I haven't seen sudden;y more crosses once the game ends. Most units are disbanded anyway, rarely are they destroyed by fire.

Actually I've noticed that is was related to /worse after loading saves so I'll try the 1 min run thing

Cheers
