Eastern Battles

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

I really don't think that those figures are completely fantasy.
German economy stand on robbery. They were taking gold, goods, stock and even people to be able to keep the production running when their ironworks were producing tanks instead of plows.

Just take a look at the amount of gold stolen by Germans:

Germany definitely ran off with the European Piggy Bank. The extent though which can be truly converted into PPs is different. Early, yes...but as wars progress, gold loses it's value. Embargo a nation say from one resource, oil or another nickle... Both vital for a war economy would hinder PPs and by 1941 and Barbarossa the game changes as did History.

All that aside, it's not that in my mind which makes Germany unstoppable. You cannot replace some of the most valued resources, i.e. trained pilots, good politics and intelligent spending(too many Tigers and not enough Panzer 4s)

A lot see in this game a one sided aspect once a human opponent takes over(as they don't make many historical mistakes). The Allies are forced to Historical blunder until very late in the game; meanwhile Germany gets all the Aces. Not enough limitations.... Will try the difficulty settings next opportunity I get to see if that balances out

I'm not sure how you manage that build up. I've tried a campaign game on nomal German vs AI and with no builds I'm -70 PP by the SEPT 16 game turn in 1.01 I'd have maybe 10 to 15PP in 1.00. The Rusian AI seems to Attck Finland in Nov 1939 and is receiving 350 + PP by may 1940. I Stopped playing 1.01 as Oct 1 I'm -85 PP and going deeper every turn.
You can run but you'll die tired!

Is there a basic sanity check to the ability of the Germans to build up their forces?

Historically, I think most would agree that the German economy was about as numerically productive as it could be, withing a factor of 20% or so. I don't think a result that sees the Wehrmacht more than marginally stronger than it was in 1941 as being within the scope of what the game should be structured around.

Honestly, I don't really care whether someone can come up with a strategy to deal with a German army with 80 panzer divisions - the problem there is not that it can't be dealt with, it is that it exists to begin with!

Actually the Whermacht never worked over 8 hours a day.

Imagine what would have happened if they worked 12 hour days....

They would have been very very tired.

Rogo, PM sent. Challenge accepted

Any chance we could get an update on how this game is going? I would really like to know how things turn out on the Eastern front. Barbarossa.
