Very fast sliding units?

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Very fast sliding units?

Very fast moving units?

I am sure that the question was into one of the forums (COTA or BFTB) and answered.
The forum search function of matrix, however, is a disaster [:@]- I beg your indulgence.

My question:
Sometimes units slide/move very quickly across the map.
Why is this so? How do I interpret that? [&:]

That odd "animation" idicates renewed contact/sighting to an enemy unit, an update to obsolete intel so to say. There would be less confusion about that, if the obsolete intel indicater (the black frame) would do animate or blink as well, so we know what lost contact the animation originates from.

Dave had a good explanation in some thread, but I can´t remember where it is ATM.

Edit: here is it

Surges in movement of your own units, and enemy, can also come from the processor, I've found. Put the game on full speed and it happens a lot, less at slowest speeds, but the jerkiness is still sometimes there, even with a good rig. There's a lot being handled, I guess and sometimes it seems to go in fits and starts, especially when there's a lot of action.

Phoenix, your correct sir it can be the processor and the speed your playing at. It happens far less these days than it did in say HTTR as processor speeds are so much better it can keep up. Infact I didn't know it was still happening to some.

When you play on the Fast setting or Run Until it will skip anim frames to maintain speed.
