Would you martyr yourself?

Would you blow yourself up along with assorted passersby for 72 virgins? After you boinked one, would she still be a virgin? I could go through 72 virgins in about 40 days if that's all there is to do in paradise. When your 72 virgins are used up would you spend the rest of eternity with 72 shrews? Would you save your last virgin for a special occasion?

However I would martyr myself under certain circumstances in certain battles. For example here is a list where I wouldve made a bayontte charge or a suicide charge with demo charges instead of surrendering;

1) Wake Island 1941. As a US Marine or soldier in the last desperate hours, low on ammo & supplies, instead of surrendering to an army that tortures PoW's for surrendering to them I wouldve made a last ditch charge. Death was more honorable. Surrender was total BS!

2) Singapore 1942. As a British soldier I wouldve made a night bayonette charge if necessary. Surrender was out of the question.

3) Corregidor 1942. Again a bayonette charge was in order. Screw death marches & toruture. Ill gladly go out in a blaze of glory rather than let jerkoffs use me for katana practice.

4) Stalingrad 1942-43. Again a last ditch night-attack bayonette charge to the last soldier wouldve sufficed. Allowing the Commanding General to defect to the malignant Reds is a heresy of the worst kind. Better Dead than Red.

5) I salute the 57th Panzer Korps Operation Winter Storm in its attack to the death relief effort to break through to Stalingrad in Dec 1942. This was a glorious prime example of an entire corps that fought almost to the death. It was beautiful. [:'(]

It's an interesting question. Even after the 72 virgins would no longer be virgins, one still would be in Paradise for doing the will of God, so it would be quite reasonable thing to do.
But then there's a question of the problem of the great all powerful God existing and encouraging such atrocities. If God is evil, should we judge him or not? And what's the right stance on it? To oppose his will and be condemned to hell or something like that? To do just the minimum of stuff required to not go to hell? Or to accept him as a source of all morality and decide that it's wrong to not want to blow up assorted passerby?
