Frustrated by convoys

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

Frustrated by convoys

Post by ItBurns »

I've had time of Fury for about a week and have most of the basics down but production point convoy's on both sides are eluding me.

As the German should I try to set up a convoy to Sweden for the iron ore?
Is there a real reason to try for Narvik?
While searching for British convoys in 1941 I surrounded all of Great Britain with U-boats and never found a single convoy. What am I doing wrong?

For all nations: is there a list of places that could supply PP's if you set up convoys?

Convoys can be sent only from currently controlled country to any other friendly country.
Is there a real reason to try for Narvik?
Germans receiving PP boost for controlling Narvik, so in longer run this might be worth it.

Are you setting your units in raider mode?

Yes, they are in raider mode but spread thin, like one group of subs in an area.

I am playing the Allies in "Fall Gelb" in a PBEM and the German subs are killing my convoys - both supply and PP convoys.

Maybe I am telling you the obvious (sorry in that case) but check out the report windows under "convoys" if you are the victim of convoy losses or "raiders activity" on what your subs and raiding surface ships have achieved. There is always some fluctuations per turn but after some turns you should see some results.

Hit the R key for Reports. Click on Raider activity.
