Why you should never leave your best generals in a pocket, after it's been surrounded. Replace with your C-listers, if possible. You may make the pocket tougher by leaving good generals in there, but their loss is a blow to the Soviet command team for the rest of the war.

The backwaters of the North. Q-Ball has only a weak screen of disheartened troops up here, and I won't be able to go much further anyhow, due to imminent supply constraints from the rapidly approaching mud season, and the impending loss of several Finnish units that will withdraw.
