You know, were I a British sailor, I would not be comfortable with a posting to HMS Decoy... especially with you two in charge!

Well, we had 5 damaged BB's, one making 6 kts and threatening to convert to an artificial reef and one making 10 kts to which the AI had assigned ONE undamaged DD as escort (for all 5).

Meanwhile, HMS Decoy was hurt pretty badly and had her own DD escort. JJ subs were swarming our obvious egress route..something needed to be done. HMS Decoy was therefore assigned to be the...oh what's the word..yeah, that's it, "decoy".

I felt bad as HMS Decoy had some heroic action somewhere in the 1st-22nd Naval Battles of Port Hedland.

How true this is Cap ... one example the decision of the Navy EOD school to recend the motto "Initial Success or Total Failure" in the name of being PC ..we have lost our collective minds ... The really bad news .. we are about to get into a nasty confrontation with radical Islam, and we have promoted officers more concerned with being PC than to prepare us for a protracted HIC with a determined enemy supported by our dear freinds Russia and China [8|]

Radar, more guns and all, the allies had 1/2 the hits [17] that the Japanese got - 33 + 1 torp. Having a couple of knots speed advantage really does give better firing position and hit probability. Sometimes I think the game engine gives a little too much boost to the chances of a slower ship getting hit.
