Replenishment Group Orders

Post by dbmsts »

1. What orders should be given to replenishment air groups aboard CVEs in order for them to replenish carrier airgroups while in a replenishment TF?
2. Will they still fly to the airgroups that need aircraft if their orders are to stand down?

3. Can replenishment airgroups also take part in combat if neccessary?

4. How do replenishment groups replenish their own aircraft?

>> I suggest training (I use to set 70%). The training missions are supposed to be classroom training (see point 3)

2. Will they still fly to the airgroups that need aircraft if their orders are to stand down?

>> Yes

3. Can replenishment airgroups also take part in combat if neccessary?

>> No. The carriers are overloaded (the parked planes occupy most of the flight deck, so no landing operations are possible).

4. How do replenishment groups replenish their own aircraft?

>> Automatically when in range of bases.

A little off thread, but close.

Replen CVE are not identified.

Would it help if they do not show when requesting a CV TF, and only appear when requesting a Replen TF?

It takes me a lot of note taking to keep up with these CVE.

(Makes it hard to program as you can swap Sqns around)

The problem, from a coding POV is that there are no actual dedicated replenishment CVEs, only dedicated replenishment squadrons. Bring the so called replenishment CVEs back to carrying no more aircraft than 110% of rated aircraft capacity and presto they are just a normal combat ready CVE.

Yep, so I have to keep notes.

Maybe easier to achieve is to show Capacity & Current Load in the TF selection screen (maybe it does but I dont remember)
