Open Beta for v1.01 starts now

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

1. German Infantry. I'm in a game at Aug 41 and German Infantry Is still at level 1 while Russian and Italian are level 2 and British is level 3. The Germans need to start with a higher Reseach pool so that they can get level 2 Infantry ~ 1st Qtr 1940.

3. British carrier's are far too strong in range of land based air. I never realized 2 dozen bi-planes could best half the luftwaffe.

I have also experienced these effects and agree that adjustment is needed. [:)]

Some of us want to game a somewhat historical campaign, but the only ingame option (short of re-writing codes) is adjusting the PP capacity of countries. I was assuming medium would be the most historical accurate, but apparently not.

Case in point - America has declared war on the axis in late summer 1941 (again another situation of an Allied DoW without provocation - after France the Axis made no further DoW's and the Balkan campaign never happened). A few turns later the US has all it's carriers (13 of them) on Italy's doorstep and bombing the crud out of it's troops. This would eventually lead to an amphibious landing on Sicily. Historically at the time of Pearl Harbour, the US only had 7 plus one escort type.

I think the maintenance cost were fine as they were I am able to get the German Army up to somewhat historical levels and still keep my fighters operational thru the constant attrittion goin on with Frech and British tac air.

Another Thought. Should The German possesion of Metz be required for Vichy France? Total Surrender but Vichy? or is there a difference?

I'm not sure what criteria has to be met for a Vichy France, but every campaign game I have played up to this point (only Italy as human controlled) the German AI has trouble meeting this requirement versus historical timeline. My current game was the longest yet for the event to occur, it was October 1941 by the time Vichy happened.

Is there a completion date for this?
or
Is is it going to be perpetual nuanced game balancing?

OK so I've done a lot, A LOT, of mods to the events, countries, units, map, just about everything that could be modded has been modded. I'm using 1.01 Beta. When the official patch comes out and I upgrade will everything I changed be overwritten? I'm thinking, yes. [:(]

Tough situation I like my mods but I want the improvemnts of a patch.

A lot of things will be overwritten, but not everything

What you might do is to unzip the patch into separate folder and copy only the files which were implemented in official 1.01.
