Russia's war entry

Post by andyb120 »

Hi
Im working a game in which Russia declares war on Germany and invades, no issue but, Russia is still in the allied alliance. I don't think that should be the case, nor should it receive lease lend. The pop up notes at beginning of the turn all follow the German invasion, not a Russian invasion.

Can you click on the diplomacy panel and click on Russia then post a snap shot here?

I don't think what you are saying can happen as Russia is the Leader of the Communist Alliance.

Lend lease won't happen until mid war. The game follows history.

You can only see pop up notes that pertain to Germany and other Axis countries if you play them.

One can not see enemy pop up notes. Try using the R key for reports and then scroll to events and read what happened last turn.

Russia gets very little help in Lend Lease.

Not worth the effort to re-write it.

350,000 trucks was the means of Russias supply and mobility. No small effect.

Not sure if this means, little help in the game or little help historically.

Historically, it was very significant. 500, 000 trucks and jeeps, huge quantities of clothing and strategic materials.

The images of the Katushka rocket launchers, almost always mounted on US truck chassis, tells the story. The Soviets could make the aircraft, tanks and other basic weapons, but Lend-lease enabled them to move and support this equipment. Equipment is useless in modern war, if you can't move it.[:)]

Most of the train engines and the rails comes from US
During the battle of Moscow, Soviets got less tanks that they receive from UK with the Lend Lease.
