Normal print screen is not working with the game.
Personally I'm using FRAPS to make full screen screenshoots

Got FRAPS it works great...

Declaring War

Post by shermanwar »

Hi,
I tried to research this but to no avail. Is there a way to play the game in a more WHAT IF mode? Specifically in the ability to Declare War. I tried playing as the Axis and included Spain under my control. So far it does not allow me to declare war on France (as Spain - Even when the allies Declare war on the Axis).

Also I noticed at least in German GC that the historic events pop totally unrelated to game play. Like France withdrawing from the Maginot Line claiming Axis flanking even when I (as the Axis) had not done so.

Help with these two MUCH appreciated!

Spain is a neutral country and one needs diplomatic points to DOW.

The design was not based on fantasy "what ifs", however you can modify all the files to make it that way.

Razz, thanks for writing me back! Yes that makes total sense. I know this next question could have a really detailed answer (more than might be right for this forum?): I saw in another thread where Doom had sent a file that allowed the player to declare war on individual countries and not just the alliance. I think that would be similar to what you are referring to....I am not smart on Moding at all, but is there a place you could point me to to learn how to modify the files as you mentioned?

Please forgive me if these are dumb questions; Im trying to learn though.

Thanks again,
Sherman

No real easy answer there.

However, you can hit F12 and change the PP's Spain has along with DP.

Then Spain can rule the world!

Razz - "I thought that was in the manual. It means the city is a supply resource. The yellow factory Icon is for PP, the blue anchor for port, the Red exclamation
mark is for Victory points. "

The manual shows pictures of the icons but doesn't say what they mean.
