Why is nothing in the editor actually editable?

Post by rogerbacon51 »

I am in teh editor and trying to change the value (ANY value) of a unit but none of the values or text is editable. As if to mock me the little tooltip at the top of the screen says "click to change..." whenever I mouseover any value but clicking, double clicking, right clicking, all does nothing.

Edit: OK, on the Settings screen some things are editable like the RuleVars but on the other screens nothing is. Are there supposed to be buttons to press for editing or do you click directly on the text?

Replace the Masterfile (settings) and all are editable.

Does this mean delete it from the file structure?

No.

In the settings portion of the editor there is a setting called masterfile. If you click it, and decide then to regret doing it, by cancelling the loading of a masterfile, this file will no longer be used as a guideline for the rest of the editable options.

In no way does this involve fiddling with the files on your computer.
