also I-18 got a skipper we can only dream of... but escorts are nearly invincible nowadays while they were sunk in the dozens after release... takes probably one and a halve dozen attacks to hit a DD... I am amazed that there are so many enemy subs operating in this area, as amazed as I am about the inability of my search aircraft to detect those subs as none of them was spotted by air search earlier... I obviously need better pilots but they aren't available yet...
