Just Purchased Command Ops: HTTR

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Just Purchased Command Ops: HTTR

Post by wgs_explorer »

Well, I have just purchased Command Ops: Highway to the Reich! I wish I could say that I have just played it though. The download link is bad as well as the product key. I tried to register the game and Matrixgames states the key is already used. Hopefully I will get some response within the 2 day time window given by Plimus (the store) or Matrixgames. All I know is that this is the last game I buy from Matrixgames as long as they are teamed with Plimus.

Bill,

I have asked Erik Rutins of Matrix to look into this for you.

Thank you Dave. I've been trying in vain to download the game, but to no avail.

Hi wgs_explorer,

Plimus had scheduled some maintenance for the store today, but there was not supposed to be any downtime. We are now seeing the same issue and are working with the store to resolve it ASAP. Your download link is good, as soon as this issue is resolved. Apologies for the inconvenience, downtime is extremely rare and your link should work again very soon.

Regards,

- Erik

Thank you Erik. I hope the link will work before the end of the weekend. Do you have any idea as to how to resolve the issue with the product key/serial number? Matrixgames registration page said it was already used.

Regarding the registration, if you are logged into your account when you make a purchase, we automatically register the product for you to save time. If you later try to register the same product with the same serial number, it would show that key as already being used. The error message should be more clear here, but can you please see if it is already in your registered games?

Great! 30 games bought from Matrixgames over the years and this is the first that automatically registered! Thank you. I never saw this before.

Dave and Erik, I want to thank you both for spending your time in responding to my issue. Your responses have been the only non-robo responses I have gotten from my 2 posts and 3 emails. Thank you again.

(I'm still hoping Plimus goes back to work and I can download HTTR.)

Thanks again,

Bill

I'm having the same issue with downloading Battles from the Bulge. I'm sorry you're having trouble with HTTR, but at least I know it isn't just me! I'm bummed; I was really looking forward to trying this tonight but it's already after 11PM my time. Hopefully, the like will start working soon.

Well, twelve hours and the link is still no good. I still think that Matrixgames needs to get rid of Plimus. Plimus is quite disingenuous to accept purchases while shutting down the delivery portion of their store. I feel sorry for Matrixgames.

Well, the link finally works. I am still disappointed with Plimus and their unannounced and unadvertised shut-down.

Again, thank you Dave and Erik.

Hi everyone,

The download issue appears to be fixed. We are also very disappointed at the unexpected downtime and the lack of notice. We've been working non-stop with Plimus to resolve this, so it's glad to hear that it is working now. All affected customers should receive new download links as well.

While unexpected downtime can happen, this appears to have been a result of scheduled maintenance and that's not acceptable. We'll be discussing this in great detail with them to make sure it does not happen again.

Deepest apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience.

Regards,
