I HAVE VERSION 3.0 AND WANT TO UPGRADE TO VER. 5.01, HOW CAN I DO IT WITHOUT SPENDING 55 HRSS DOWNLOADING THE GAME FROM THE NET?
ANYONE WHO CAN HELP I WOULD APPRECIATE IT MUCHO.

As yet said by others on other topics: to buy the Desert Fox mega campaign is a good idea, because SPWAW 5.0 is included on the CD... The upgrade to 5.1 is more quickly downloadable then.

Actually all the Desert Fox disks now shipping have v 5.3 Both Lost victories and Watchtower have ver 7.0

The answer is simple.

Ask a person on here with a burner and a couple of spare bucks to burn you a cd.

Mail costs to send a personal cd in the mail from Canada or the US will barely buy a coffee. A cd will hold virtually every version of Steel Panthers in existence.

Or you can of course spend a LOT of money to get Steel Panthers on a Mega Campaign. But if you oooooonly want version 5.1, well you need one of us.

Personally, the Mega Campaign way is better. But it will cost more. And you WONT get just 5.1 I guess.

Here's my way. My internet provider has filefetch service. I cut/pasted the url of the patch to their server. Then I personally went there to take the file written to a cd. It took nearly 2usd.
