My opponent confirms that USS Triton sank a few turns ago. She took a bomb hit near Wake from a Val on search patrol from KB.

RE: Submarines in the Pacific: FDRLincoln (Japan) vs. Bakerman (Allies)
One annoyance is that I've never been able to get Tracker to work properly. It won't work on either of my computers. I assume it has something to do with the Java files but I don't know enough about computers to fix it.
The Japanese didn't have a computer program to help them in real life, so I'll just say that not having tracker represents the various frictions in the Imperial economy, just like in real life, LOL.
We're playing Scenario 2 so I'm not as doomed as I would be if trying to play without Tracker in Scenario 1. So far my economy is doing OK.

Install version 6 in a seperate directory in the program files directory. I call miine jre6 ... then change with WitPTracker.bat file to point to this version ..
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms384m -Xmx768m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"

Crackaces, I don't know what that means. I mean, I can install it, but I don't know how to change the file to point at anything.

8 points of night experience for Kongo, maybe there's hope after all.
Curious why my ships are still bumming around on 60 experience now.
Has Kongo seen a lot of night action?

Kongo and Haruna took part in the destruction of Prince of Wales...it was a combination night and daytime action. Haruna struck the fatal blow.

I also had a subchaser gain 20 points of experience by taking part in a surface action.
I know a lot of people don't think the experience system works properly, but I am having success with it. Taking part in a battle helps, and even just sailing around for a couple of weeks (like my SCs do on patrol) gets raw ships from the 30s into the upper 40s. It seems like an actual combat is necessary to push them past 50.

I think that hitting something when you shoot counts for a lot in experience and/or skill gain. In all contexts.
