sound off?

i have looked but cant find a way to turn the sound off...

is there a way?

i want to listen to music while i play...

Edit the file binit.dat in the data folder. Halfway through the file, you should find:

# Disables intro mp3 music :
nomp3
# Disables ingame music :
nomusic
# Disables all sounds :
#nosound

remove the # sign (uncomment) in the last line above, save, and you should be ok.

Turn the sound on your computer way low. Then turn your stereo on!

in order to keep peace in the house... i have the PC in the Great room with the TV so the wife can't say that I am leaving her alone while I goof off on the PC/ XBOX... i listen to the music on head phones and can still pay attn to her ( even though she usually just reads a book)

the first responce fixed the problem and also helped me speed the game up a lot ( i had it on original settings)

i enjoy how complex the game model is...

graphics have never made a game good...
