redownloading game

Post by sweeteye »

What does one have to do to EASILY redownload a game they have already purchased.I decided to reformat my machine and now I need to redownload BFTB.I spent an hour clicking around in the members area and can get no link to be able to download it..I have tried going to Plimus and no luck.. .I suppose I will have to write out a help desk ticket...

Just noticed some one else having a similar problem...I will never ever purchase another game through a download....Discs only for me from now on...I think I will wait a couple of months before I even bother with spending any time hassling this whole setup....

I've had good luck here re-downloading games, though I have to admit, I haven't needed to very often. First thing I do after downlaoding and installing is to copy the download along with my serial number to a CD for safe-keeping.

I also make sure that my games are all registered. Matrix are pretty good about getting you what you need to download again though.

There is no link for it....Unless the latest update is what I have to download.I am used to updates\patches being separate from the main game....

Not all games allow redownloading after unlimited time. It depends on choices you make when you buy. I could not find my download of BFTB either neither on Digital River nor Plimus (it was probably bought from Digital River) although I registered the serial number. Fortunately I had ordered both the download and the disk version, so I could reinstall from the disk when I changed my computer.

There are Matrix games for which I did not buy the disk nor make a copy on a disk, so I guess some of those games are gone forever.FWIW, I think that any game I pay for should allow unlimited downloads no matter how long ago it was.

I agree Henri....Any game purchased through download should be available for an unlimited number of downloads........Of course you can burn the game to disc ...which is a wise choice to do the way things are set up..
