- this time last year I was about to head for Florida for three weeks....... Great memories, but really want to be going back this year [:(][:(][:(]

Image
My daughter use to do a program on the tower of terror for school kids visiting the Disney parks. Each class ended the whole group taking the drop.

I keep Wisconsin on my info as it will always be my real home, but moved just over two years ago and live in Florida now. I'm about 15 miles or so from that tower. Maybe you will have to visit again.

Oh back on topic, yes I have had the TIME to ride the tower of terror several TIMES.

So living so close to all the theme parks must be great. I have to say that Walt Disney (with a little help from a few other Florida theme parks) has given my family the best holiday memories imaginable - especially when the children were young enough to believe they were meeting the real characters. FANTASTIC. Sorry I know......

Speaking of Florida Towers, next TIME you are here, you might want to take TIME to see this one. Great gardens, beautiful tower, peaceful surroundings, one of the worlds great carillons:

ImageThe Singing Tower
In all the natural beauty of the Gardens, Bok believed something was missing. Remembering the glorious sound of carillons in his native Netherlands, he decided to build a beautiful Singing Tower as the focal point of the Gardens which would be crowned by a large carillon.

Bok commissioned fellow Philadelphian, architect Milton B. Medary, to design and build the majestic Singing Tower. Medary drew his main inspiration from the Gothic towers and churches of Europe, but wanted to adapt his design to the characteristics of the Florida landscape.

Lee Lawrie, a noted sculptor from New York, was engaged to design the elaborate marble sculpture that adorns the Tower. Although Medary’s overall design is neo-Gothic in its conception, he, like Lawrie, was a man of the times. Thus, Lawrie incorporated art deco influences into the sculptural decoration of the Tower.

Construction of the Tower began in 1927 and was completed in time for the dedication on February 1, 1929.

Some friends of yours at my daughters wedding.

Edit: Almost forgot, we had the TIME of our lives and I took TIME to sneak a dance with Minnie while Mrs. Yogi danced with Mickey. But TIME marches on some 6 years since the happy event.

Yogi, warspite1, I find you both guilty of being off topic on a thread. I therefore sentence you both to 5 minutes hard labor on BPB Collective Farm 8.

You will, in the future, stick to the topic of the thread!

It is TIME you both do as you are told:

This is unacceptable.

If you got time to post then you should have time enough to follow your own rules.

To much time since I should not have to remind you of your own rules. You are our hero Steiner. Act like one.

Image You know Ralph, take it from Mickey. If I was you I'd take the TIME to be more like that guy. In fact, you should even change your name to the same as his. Just like him, don't get hung up on people who feel your TIME must be used arguing over who follows the rules or who doesn't have to follow them. Just follow your heart. In TIME you will receive the votes of anyone who is smart enough to do the right thing. Yeah Ralph, if you did that you would be smarter than the average guy. Of course that may take a little TIME and you will never be smarter than him.

Now I take time for an off topic statement.

Carl Barks is so popular in Sweden that there is a street in Stockholm named after him.

Okay - as this thread is moving off into another direction - how about a little poll?

Name your favourite Disney:

a) Cartoon Character
b) Princess
c) Pixar Character
d) Baddy
